Privacy Policy for MeloGo

Effective date: July 25, 2026

MeloGo is a local music player. This policy explains how MeloGo handles data on your device.

Information MeloGo Handles

MeloGo can process audio files that you choose through the system file picker. For imported files, MeloGo may read and store:

MeloGo copies imported audio files into the app's private storage so the local music library remains available inside the app.

Information MeloGo Does Not Collect

MeloGo does not collect, upload, sell, or share your imported music files.

MeloGo does not require an account.

MeloGo does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking in the current app.

MeloGo does not send your library, listening history, or imported audio files to a server.

Local Storage

MeloGo stores imported audio files, artwork, lyrics, playback queue, language preference, repeat mode, and playback position on your device.

You can remove imported music from inside the app. You can also remove all MeloGo data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in system settings.

Permissions

MeloGo uses the system file picker so you can choose audio files to import.

MeloGo may request notification permission on supported platforms so media playback controls can appear while audio is playing.

MeloGo uses background audio playback features so music can continue playing when the app is not on screen.

Children's Privacy

MeloGo is not designed to collect personal information from children. Because MeloGo does not operate an account system or server-side data collection, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated when MeloGo's features change. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
